Stuff to Do
There is SO much to do on the Vineyard and our location allows quick and easy access to most of it. We are within 5~15 minutes of most of the island, including the airport (and its retail establishments, including a fitness center with tennis), the glorious Morning Glory Farm, Long Point Wildlife Refuge, Katama Beach, three golf courses (Farm Neck, Vineyard, Edgartown), Mass Audubon’s Felix Neck Reserve, The Yoga Barn, and the towns of Edgartown, Vineyard Haven, and Oak Bluffs with all of their shopping, dining, ice-creaming, and other fun and delicious activities. The Vineyard’s bike paths can be accessed right across the main road, and don’t forget those Alpacas (you can do yoga with them too)! We have included three of our favorite thing to do below.
Long point wildlife refuge
Owned by Trustees of Reservations, this 600 acre property is a mere ten minute drive from the property. From frolicing in protected salt and fresh-water ponds, to renting kayaks and SUPs, to exploring the incredibly rare grassland habitat on an easy 2 mile trail, to simply enjoying the stunning beach and its limitless views, this location will likely become a repeat destination.
Aquinnah/gayhead lighthouse
Enjoy the lackadaisical drive out to Aquinnah where you can sample local cuisines, take a cliff walk/hike, and just get lost in the beauty of the setting.
Sunsets at Menemsha
Throw some blankets and beach chairs in the jalopy and head west as the sun starts to wane to join in the Vineyard tradition of applauding the light as it settles into the water. Savor seafood fresh off boats and don’t be surprised if you end up going for a dusky dip.
